A simple guide to help your plant settle beautifully into its new home.

LIGHT

Bright, indirect light is ideal. Gentle morning sun is welcome and helps maintain richer foliage colour.

Avoid harsh direct afternoon sun, especially through glass, as it can scorch or fade the leaves.

WATER

Check the top 2–3 cm of soil before watering.

Water once this layer begins to feel dry, then allow excess water to drain fully. Do not let the soil stay constantly wet, but avoid allowing it to dry out completely for long periods.

AIR & COMFORT

Hawaiian Ti prefers a warm, stable indoor environment and appreciates moderate humidity.

Keep away from direct AC airflow, cold drafts, and sudden temperature changes.

FIRST 14 DAYS

Let your plant settle gently into its new home.

Do not repot, fertilise, or move it around unnecessarily during its first two weeks.

FEEDING

After the first two weeks, feed lightly during active growth with a balanced fertiliser at a gentle dilution.

Once every 4–6 weeks is usually enough. Avoid overfeeding, as this can damage the roots and affect leaf quality.

REPOTTING

Repot only when the roots begin filling the pot, water runs through unusually quickly, or growth starts slowing despite suitable care.

Hawaiian Ti usually benefits from repotting every 1–2 years, using a well-draining indoor plant mix.

PET SAFETY

Hawaiian Ti should be kept away from cats and dogs. It can cause irritation or stomach upset if chewed or eaten.

WHEN TO ASK FOR HELP
